"Based on ancient wisdom, the gongs vibrate at the same frequency as the body allowing the body to heal itself. The sounds and vibrations of the gong create deep relaxation and state of meditation by altering brain waves from a Beta (waking state) to Theta & Delta (deep meditation). Science teaches that during these brain frequencies we access our deeper subconscious and super conscious and they are key states for healing."

I first caught wind of Gong Songs from Peggy Chan of Grassroots Pantry and since been opting to check it for some time. After all, it happens but once a full moon night. As my mother touched HK ground last night, I thought it be a great idea to take her alongside babe and hub. Dunno...perhaps it would bang her out of jet lag, you know...sooth her into buoyancy. I should have realized that a "gong bath" was nothing short of a highly meditative group experience that required full participation...Kundalini chanting and all. I confess, I was distracted by the snoring to the shrill of the gongs. (Priceless recording below. Press PLAY 00:14 secs). I offered extra vibrations so as not to steal too much from the "group mind". Do experience this cathartic soul washing. My mamma said she felt like she was "in a spacecraft taking off". The facility is a wellness center within the painfully gorgeous corporate headquarters of Lane Crawford & Joyce. You will wish you worked there. Really worth a gander. Every which way a creative gesture of genius. I want to say meat packingly amaze.)

I woke my Mamma to ride a crescendo of the gongs for our timely escape as my hub and babe were waiting outside in wake of our dinner reservation. Off to Artichoke Canteen we went. Bleary-eyed little Felix following her Lola (tagalog for Grandma) around "In the Mood for Love"
Although I've no images of food, the flavors linger in spirit. To our wonderful surprise, we dined family style slurping Moules and sipping Pinot Grigio. Manager Christoph toured us through the gallery space and informed us of their live music Sunday sunsets, and late night music driven events. The owner is a vegetarian hence legume infused menu. Clock this place.
Hope to see you this Sunday for Yoga POP : 02 in Cyberport Waterfront Peer.
Rain or shine.
