The Do Lab does LIB right.

Lightning in a Bottle is a transformational festival in the Central Coast region of California presented by the Do LaB. The Do LaB seeks to promote sustainability, social cohesion, personal health, and creative expression. They contribute installations to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. - Says Wiki. And transform, we did.

Miles away from HK and babe, did I reunite with parts of my heart I left in San Francisco years ago in celebration of my bday amongst good friends at a West Coast yoga & music festival. If only you could plug into my brain and DL sights and sounds of this experience, would you know why I'm smiling this sweet.

Watch this short on LIB. Many an old friend DOing mind blowing inspiring things. Reuniting with these wild cats stokes a fire within. It's powerful to breathe into the remembrance of what makes us sparkle. I "grew into" my skin with these wonderfully remarkable loving beings.

Which brings me to my next subject. Yoga P O P!

Last SUNday was particularly special due in part to the lovely ladies that have now shown up for the 4th Sunday in a row. To witness the satisfaction in some as they were proud to have acquired their own yoga mat. I suppose your mat is sort of like prime real estate, for it is within this rectangle of a shape that we are responsible for filling it with mindful actions...for ridding it of all our toxicities. Our mat is our humble nest we perch, wherein we are safe for silence. But doing it together raises the potency of magic that can happen.

Thanks to Dr Bryan Lau for telling me to keep doing what I'm doing. He empathized with the effort it takes to facilitate a donation based public class. You just never know who is actually going to show up. But the ones that do are the ones who want and need it the most.
Hope to see you all Sunday.

"I only feel beautiful on SUNdays", she said. Bless. Touch sky. Let's make it everyday.

I'll leave you with the song I have been playing on repeat. In doing so, my perceptions have been caramelized to a sappy mess. Kudos to my bro DJ Jason Nogoy, for inspiring me to use this as a final resting song as he so did during his Mayya Movement yoga set.

Did you know?

Welcome to the pages of a new found meeting place I call Soultrains. Here dwells my hot off the press BLOG, public teaching/special events CALENDER, and CONTACT details for private  individual or group classes. Please sign up to my mailing list for future news and info.

YO! My name is May aka Snapboompow, Ahhmay, Maya, Marjorie, Maymentum, Maybackmusik, Aunt Jahmaymay, Maybe, Mayhem. What are your names? :)

All things have a beginning.
But where does the story really begin?
How do we know what we know?

Like anything being born, there is an element of excitement but also a great sense of vulnerability. Bear with me as I calibrate to the etiquette of the grand blog-o-sphere. Exposing my story is something I've endeavored internally for quite some time but needed to do so when the timing was right. Sort of like how our thoughts run faster than our mouth can birth the appropriate words, consider my blog entries more like infinite strands webbing inquiry and answer. I have finally made a move to share openly the soundbites, ideas, inspiration, and moreover the curiosities stemming from my heart. The intention driving sincerity behind my words is the idea that my daughter should grow up and read these pages one day. I wish for her to know her connection to this body, this existence, this complex world of varying perspectives. I wish for her to have a broad perspective on where she came from. In doing so, I hope that Soultrains makes YOU feel something beautiful on the inside.

Like this video made me weep with realization : "Did you know how you were born?"

Let's connect, converse, collaborate, digest, express, then let it all go.

In Love,
May
