Surf the Source of Life : Demystify and Integrate Breath and Bhandas With Asana and Functional Anatomy



Each "Medic Yoga : Therapeutic and Anatomy Workshop" focuses on a specific topic or part of the body, that aims to deepen our understanding on how we utilize asana as a powerful healing tool and refine our practice towards a more effective and purposeful way.


In this 2 hour workshop we shall explore the mysterious mechanism of air and energy flow within our body through physical manifestation. Let's focus on the key muscles involved for breath and remember how to awaken and coordinate them the source of life and retrieve vulnerable essence from it.


Date : Saturday, March 28

Time : 12-2pm 

Location : TBA no later than 19/3/15

Schedule : 70% lecture and 30% practice

Level : Appropriate for all levels, we welcome every level yogi from instructor to absolute beginner.


About Bryan Lau : 

Upon receiving his masters degree in Sports Medicine and Health Science, Dr. Bryan helps to heal people with sports injuries primarily within the out-patient clinic.

Founder of Dr.Bryan Yoga since 2012, he intentionally combines knowledge of functional anatomy, modern myofascial stretching techniques and physical treatment skills to yoga, all of which aims to deepen students understanding of the powerful healing effects of asana. His teaching method "Medic Yoga" is largely influenced by the amazing Jason Crandell and Patrick Creelman, instructors who not only focus on detailed alignment, but also enlighten students into being mindful and present in the practice.

Yoga Instructor of 14 years, May empowers the practitioner to be their own greatest teacher as they expand, integrate and facilitate awareness in their entire body-mind. May draws teachings from various hatha and somatic movement systems via 500hrsRYT/Tara Judelle, 200hrs RYT/Patrick Creelman. Find May teaching at FLEX HK and Founder of, May also hosts "YogaPOP" integrating domestic helpers & yoga community. May is honored to co-create with Dr. Bryan and his massive yoga movement through weekly classes and monthly "Therapeutic and Anatomy Workshops".

What can I bring to the event?

Sportswear with an open heart. 

Although mats are available to borrow, please do bring your own. A yoga block is also advised, but not required.
